攝計師真心不騙評價：遠東戲院原為許姓家族私人花園，後變成紀念公園。在1956年時，因電影業興起，北斗鎮公所決定提供土地，並出資兩成與民間合作興建遠東戲院。遠東戲院也因此成為彰化南部唯一戲院，亦是全台唯一擁有公股的戲院。遠東戲院目前已被指定為縣定古蹟，但古蹟活化工作尚未完成，因此只能看到被封閉的建築外觀。

Yingting Shih’s Review Summary: The Far East Theatre used to be the private garden of the Xu family, and later became the memorial park. Due to the rise of the film industry, Beidou Township decided to provide land and invested 20% to cooperate with private units to build the Far East Theater in 1956. The Far East Theatre has thus become the only theater in southern Changhua, and the only theater in Taiwan with public shares. The Far East Theatre has been designated as a county monument, but the restoration of monuments has not yet been completed. If you come here, you can only see the appearance of the closed building.
