攝計師真心不騙評價：登瀛書院主祀文昌帝君，俗稱文昌祠。它是草屯第一間學堂，也是全台書院中，建築保存最為完整者，已被列為縣定古蹟（原三級古蹟）。書院裡有很多重要文物，如1848 年創建時留下的兩塊匾額，值得仔細探究。
Yingting Shih’s Review Summary: The Denying Academy was mainly served to worship the Wenchang God, commonly known as Wenchang Temple. It is the first school in Caotun and the most well-preserved academy in Taiwan. It has been listed as a municipal historic site. There are many important artifacts in the academy, such as the two plaques left in 1848, which deserve careful study.
