攝計師真心不騙評價：這是座百年古厝，因原為貢生莊廷燦的故居，所以又叫莊貢生古厝，目前房子保存良好，仍有住人，請勿任意打擾。
Yingting Shih’s Review Summary: This is a century-old old house. Because it is the former residence of Gongsheng Zhuang Tingcan, it is also called the ancient house of Zhuang Gongsheng. The house is well preserved. Since Zhuang’s descendants still live in the house, please respect the owner.
因為房子仍有住人，所以不便打擾，僅拍攝外觀。貢生，又叫明經，在明清兩朝時，秀才（又稱生員）如果成績優異，就可以到京師的國子監唸書，這種人就叫貢生。莊家先祖莊廷燦先生在1901年參加清朝科舉中了貢生，後來任職台北廳參事。
